Mission

At COJEHA, our mission is to foster sustainability and empowerment in Haiti through education, agriculture, and community enrichment. We are dedicated to utilizing our local resources to create self-sufficiency, ensuring that our children and local communities have access to essential needs and opportunities for growth.  We strive to build a brighter future for Haiti, where every individual can thrive and contribute to the nation's development.

Vision

Our vision at COJEHA is to see Haiti's future flourishing with self-sustainable agribusiness, where children, adolescents, and local communities are empowered to thrive independently, free from the interference of external forces. We envision a Haiti where education and agriculture intersect to create a resilient and prosperous society, driven by the ingenuity and determination of its own people. Through our initiatives, we aim to catalyze a transformation that uplifts communities and paves the way for a self-reliant, empowered nation

Agricultural Entrepreneurship and Farm Management Program

First Edition Agricultural Entrepreneurship and Farm Management program

February 23, 2023 - Location: Trou-du Nord, Haiti

Last year, we launched our Agricultural Entrepreneurship and Farm Management program, aimed at equipping Haitian adolescents and young professionals with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in agribusiness. Through certified courses taught by industry professionals, participants learn the foundations of Haitian agricultural practices and farming techniques.

Our program is actioned throughout different Communes across the nation, where we provide both classroom instruction (pictured on the left) and hands-on training on local land (pictured below). Participants not only learn how to cultivate the land sustainably but also how to build thriving businesses that benefit their communities.

Unfortunately, due to land loss and financial constraints, this program has been temporarily halted. Your support can help us revive and expand this vital initiative, empowering Haitian youth and fostering sustainable development in communities nationwide. Youth Training Program in Haiti

Haitian youth across the nation participate in our annual sustainability and agribusiness contest. The contest is an annual event organized by COJEHA, which takes place in 14 different communes throughout the Nord-Est Department in Haiti. Participants are tasked with writing about sustainability and agribusiness in their local communities,  focusing on the functionality and development of the local agricultural. They are asked to reflect on the current state and to propose their contributions to improve it. After submitting their written pieces, contestants are selected to present their ideas in front of esteemed members of their communities and COJEHA leaders. They are judged not only on the content of their writing but also on their ability to articulate their vision and ideas effectively.

Ann Panse ak Timoun Yo (Caring for Our Children)

Second Edition of the "Ann Panse ak Timoun Yo" (Caring for Our Children)

March 4, 2022 - Location: Capotille, Haiti

Our program, 'Ann Panse ak Timoun Yo' (Caring for Our Children), extends support to underprivileged children in various communes across Haiti, the same children whose school fees we cover. Through this initiative, we ensure they receive essential provisions like food, books, and clothing. Additionally, we establish educational clubs tailored to their needs and provide certificates to acknowledge their achievements.

Furthermore, we recognize the importance of joy and celebration in a child's life. That's why we organize small parties where they can enjoy themselves and cherish moments of happiness!

This program aligns with our vision of nurturing self-sufficiency and empowerment among Haiti's youth, ensuring they are well-fed, educated, and equipped with the tools they need to thrive. By supporting this initiative, you contribute directly to our goal of providing holistic care for Haiti's children, enabling them to reach their full potential; click here.
